USA Wrestling

Annual Report

USA Wrestling, as the national governing body of the olympic sport, is the go-to source for leadership, skills-training, coaching resources, and inspiration for one of the oldest of the olympic games. USA Wrestling’s annual report presents a frictional challenge for the organization: they must signal they are both the trustworthy, long-standing torch-bear of the traditions of sport as well as the forward-thinking, creative think-tank for the sport’s future.

We designed a system of visual elements and a modern-traditional color palette to communicate USA Wrestling’s past and future. Front and center in our design is a strong focus on photography that shows the spirit of the sport overlaid with a gradient color-scheme to create consistency.

Including all of the information that annual reports require often makes them text-heavy and data-packed, and for that reason they prove to be unreadable. To make USA Wrestling’s annual report as energetic and engaging as the sport, we illustrated and graphic-ized as much of the material as possible.

The outcome is an annual report that is true to USA Wrestling's traditions and full of foresight into the organization’s future.
