USA Ultimate

Website redesign

USA Ultimate represents the best of Community, Character, and Competition as the National Governing Body for the sport of Ultimate in the U.S. On college campuses, youth leagues, and pick up games across the country, Ultimate is about excellence in athleticism, openness in participation, and the highest of ethics in participant-governed play.

USA Ultimate needed a web presence that is as uncommon and forward-thinking as the organization. We worked with the USA Ultimate team to understand the heart of their uniqueness in sport, to design a web user experience that is comprehensive for existing players and intuitive for people new to the site and new to the sport.

For the new user, we integrated a rich library of video engagement: the draw of Ultimate is the intense action and joyful play backed up by the strong community of the game. For the existing player, we designed a deep dive into the organization, high level strategy, and highlights of championship gameplay.

Finally, we conducted extensive testing to ensure that the site took visitors on the journey they wanted and that USA Ultimate desired. The end result is a site that puts all of USA Ultimate’s qualities on display and rewards visitors for their interest in the sport.
